Sunday AA Beginners Q & A - 6:30 PM (Last Sunday of month)
This meeting provides 30 minutes for Newcomers to ask about how AA works. This is an open meeting. Bring your curiosity, misgivings and self-conscious new sobriety and start to find out how AA works. Topics you might ask about are: “Am I really an alcoholic?’ “What is sponsorship and do I really need one?” “What about the God thing?” Ask whatever you want to know about the 12 Steps in an environment where there are no dumb questions, just honest answers.
Sunday Nite AA Speaker Meeting - 7:00 PM (Last Sunday of month)
This is a one hour, open meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous hosted by the Saturday morning Big Book Step Study group. Speaker meetings have been a tradition at 511 over the years, bringing a sober member of AA to 511 to tell their story of “what we used to be like, what happened, and what we are like now”, and to share their experience, strength and hope with the rest of us.
Help us revitalize the 511 meeting lineup and be a part of the solution for newcomers in your sober community; people with an interest in AA and those who have a desire to stop drinking.
